Summer Quest Base Camp (Last Blast!)

Program is Full
All good things must come to an end. Join us for the final week of Summer Quest in 2026. We can't wait for this year's Carnival on Thursday, August 6!

Program operational hours are from 8:30am-3:30pm.

This program is designed for children entering Grades 1-6.

Children will be divided into age appropriate groups and will be led by Parks and Recreation camp counselors throughout the day in a variety of indoor and outdoor, small group and all-camp activities. These activities are based around our four specialty areas: Arts & Crafts, Music & Theater, Sports and STEM.

If your child needs medication while they are at Summer Quest, then a completed Medicine Administration Authorization Form must be submitted to the Parks and Recreation Office prior to your child's attendance at the program. These forms are available at the Parks and Recreation Office and on our website. You can also click here to access this form.

If you need assistance paying for Summer Quest registration, then please fill out our Program Financial Assistance Request form by clicking here. This form needs to be submitted to the Parks and Recreation Office by May 1, 2026.

Refund and Cancellation Policies:

If you are unable to attend a program and need to cancel your registration, you must do so at least two weeks in advance to receive a full refund. All Parks and Recreation programs require a minimum number of participants in order to run. Please consider this prior to making your cancellation.

Refund requests must be emailed to adionne@portlandct.org or cmacdonald@portlandct.org and all requests may not be approved. Refunds are generally not provided once a program has begun, however, in the event of injury or illness, a partial refund request will be considered if accompanied by a doctor's note. In the event that a program is canceled by Parks & Recreation, students will receive a full refund and will be notified by phone or email 3-5 days before the start date. Refunds may be issued via a household credit or by check. Household credits never expire and are applied directly to the participant’s RecDesk Account.

Refund checks will be sent to the address on file in your account, unless otherwise requested. Checks are processed through Town Hall. Please allow 10-15 business days for your checks to arrive in the mail.

If your child needs medication while they are at Summer Quest, then a completed Medicine Administration Authorization Form must be submitted to the Parks and Recreation Office prior to your child's attendance at the program. These forms are available at the Parks and Recreation Office and on our website.

Pursuant to Public Act No. 21-64 (Governor’s Task Force on Justice for Abused Children in Connecticut - GTF), we are providing a copy of the Governor’s Child Abuse Prevention Information to anyone who registers a child for this program.
